MiniXtrem in Cournon-d'Auvergne is the facility of the moto club of the same name on Rue Jean Mermoz, and it is explicitly aimed at small machines: according to the track directory mxcircuit.fr only dirt bikes and pit bikes are allowed. It opens Tuesday to Thursday from 2 pm to midnight, Friday and Saturday from 2 pm to 1:30 am, and Sunday from 2 pm to 8 pm. Riding is sold in sessions: one run of eight to ten minutes costs 13 euros. That source states no licence is required, you can book ahead, and the club rents out both the track as a whole and CRF 50 machines. There is a lounge area with a bar and TV games. The track length is not publicly documented, and the club's own website did not respond when we tried it. Our record holds a loamy surface with a tight, jump-heavy layout - on laps this short one face follows the next and the rear barely settles between two jumps. When the bike kicks and bucks off a jump face, top of our cause list is a rebound that returns too fast and launches the rear off the lip - slow it down and the machine stays calm over the take-off.
