Racing has been going on at the Ziesaberg in Wolgast for more than six decades. The Ostseepokal has carried that name since 1968, before which it ran as Pokal der Ostseenationen from 1962 - all of it organised by Motorsportclub Wolgast e.V. im ADAC, Am Strom 9. In 2025 the venue hosted a round of the German Motocross Championship. The race track "Am Ziesa Berg" is quoted at 1700 metres and described as deep sand. Our own record has no surface entered yet; the character is logged as hilly. The hills are the part you can prepare for. On a track named after a hill it is not the straight that decides, but whether you reach the top without having to back off. Make it your goal in the first session to take every climb seated and one gear higher than it feels right. The problem that catches you on a climb: the rear spins and loses traction. Top of our cause list is too much rear tyre pressure - drop it, entirely safe with a mousse, and the contact patch grows.
