The Keiheuvel at Balen in the Antwerp Kempen is run by the Koninklijke Motorclub Mol, whose seat is in Balen itself. The club describes the venue as a naturally grown, heavy sand layout cut into the Keiheuvel and surrounded by pine forest. The centrepiece of the year is the international motocross of the Keiheuvel in August: in 2025 it ran on 9 and 10 August, moving away from the traditional 15 August date; on the Sunday, according to MotocrossMag, the programme started at 7.45 a.m. with practice. Admission in 2025 was 30 euros for adults aged 15 and over, with children up to 14 free; parking is on Sint-Jansstraat. Riders register through an online platform, and the club runs a starter day for newcomers. Its members include the brothers Lucas and Sascha Coenen. Open practice times and a track length are not publicly documented. Heavy sand builds deep ruts within a few laps, and that is where a clean lap is decided: the front wheel has to follow the rut without knifing into it. If the front tips in and the bike oversteers, top of our cause list is a fork set too soft that rides too low - add compression so the front wheel stays higher in the stroke.
