The Horensbergdam is run by Auto Motoclub Genk and it is a site rather than a single track: alongside the motocross loop there is a trial course with obstacles and a covered mini-cross track, plus indoor training in a hall over the winter. Riding here means booking a time slot online beforehand - the club takes no reservations by phone or email, and without a slot you are stopped at the gate. Sessions start at 8.30 in the morning and 1 pm in the afternoon. Plan the day around your slot, not the other way round. A booked session is short, and a site with a trial course and a hall invites you to burn half of it experimenting. Pick one thing - the jumps or the technical sections - and work it through. The problem that catches nearly everyone here: the bike kicks and bucks off the jump faces. Top of our cause list for that is rear rebound - it returns too fast and launches the rear off the face; slow it down, meaning fewer clicks out. An honest note on our data: Belgian track directories describe the ground as hard and beginner-friendly, while our record says sand. We have not overwritten anything - ask when you book what you are getting.
