Two tracks, about 100 acres, both watered and groomed: High Voltage near Ford City in Armstrong County keeps it simple. A dedicated peewee track sits next to the main course, and the site itself lies between roughly 900 and 1000 feet. The listed rider fee is 20 dollars, 15 on the peewee track, plus a 10 dollar annual membership. Quads, side-by-sides and unregistered 4x4s are listed as not permitted, and there is no camping on the grounds. Check before you travel whether riding is happening. Two courses side by side are the best chance to bring the kids without someone standing at the fence all day. Plan the session accordingly: the short track with the child first, your own riding afterwards - the other way round you will be too tired to stay patient. The problem waiting for you in tight technical sections: the engine stalls. First on our cause list is a dragging clutch or a flywheel that is too light - a flywheel weight or a clean clutch setup stops the low-rpm stalling.
