Gatorback Cycle Park is at 20525 NW 46th Ave in Alachua, Florida, and is run by Unlimited Sports MX. The operator is explicit that there is no open practice here: the place opens for events, and those include the Florida Winter AM, which ran its 56th edition in 2025, the FL Gold Cup and the Thor Mini O's. According to Wikipedia the venue held rounds of the AMA Motocross Championship from 1983 to 1997. Alongside the motocross track there is a separate supercross course, a vintage track and a hare scrambles course; the directory mxtrackguide also lists pit parking, a bike wash with water outlets, bleachers, portable restrooms, food concessions and vendor stands, plus RV parking without electric hookups. Two rules the operator states plainly: pit bikes are banned without exception, and from 2026 the AMA requires a protector covering chest and back. Our record has sand as the surface, and the directory adds pronounced elevation changes with plenty of obstacles - a lap that never lets you settle and where lines change quickly. Because open practice does not exist here, the one action is not a clicker but planning: build your trip around the event calendar and check in advance whether riding is allowed the day before the race.
