Foxhill sits at Wanborough, around six miles south east of Swindon in Wiltshire. According to Wikipedia the circuit was established in the late 1980s, lies in a valley with steep banks and man-made jumps, and runs on predominantly hard, chalky soil. Through the 1990s it hosted the British motocross Grand Prix for the 125cc and 250cc classes, in 1995 for the first time as a double-header on a single day; the Motocross des Nations followed in 1998 and a three-class meeting in 2000. Stefan Everts won here in 1995, 1996 and 1997, Sebastien Tortelli in 1998. After that the venue moved to amateur, youth and historic racing. Moto Track Guide reports that the track was fully rebuilt and taken beyond GP spec for 2026, and that the MXGP of Great Britain runs there in 2026 and 2027. The site has an international-size paddock, camping, food and toilets. Hard chalky ground gives you little feedback: the front feels vague because the tyre barely digs in, and the steep valley banks add speed on top of that. If you are short of front grip, top of our cause list is too much air in the front tyre - take pressure out so the contact patch grows.
