The Circuit Moto Cross de Strasbourg is run by the Moto-Club Gazelec de Strasbourg. According to the track directory mxcircuit.fr the track measures 1756 metres at 7 metres wide, covers around 4 hectares and has 15 metres of elevation change. Motocross runs on Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to noon and from 1pm to 5pm, while pit bikes ride on Sundays from 10am to 5pm. A motocross day costs 13 euros for adults and 6 euros for children under 14; on a pit bike it is 10 and 5 euros. Motorcycles, quads, dirt bikes and pit bikes are all admitted, and an FFM or UFOLEP licence is a condition of use. 15 metres of elevation across 1756 metres means you are repeatedly accelerating uphill under load - and that is exactly where you lose traction first if the rear tyre only sits on a narrow contact patch. Top of our cause list for a rear that spins on climbs is too much rear pressure: take some out so the tyre spreads and the power actually reaches the ground.
