Cataj is a track you recognise by its layout: five berms, several jumps on the flat sections, plus big tabletops, banked turns and long straights. Motocross Club Cataj runs it and Roman Cic in the village is the contact; practice is on Thursdays. There is racing as well - the Malokarpatsky pohar runs here. Straights and berms in this combination mean high entry speeds for you. That is exactly why it pays to work on braking points here first rather than on the jumps: a banked turn forgives a lot, but only if you arrive at a speed you chose yourself. On fast parts of a track the most common complaint is a motorcycle that feels vague and restless. Top of our list is sag: if the balance of ride height and rider sag is wrong, the machine goes soft at speed - so set the sag properly before you change anything else.
