Carolina Adventure World sits on Arrowhead Road in Winnsboro, South Carolina. The operator states 120 miles of trails and rents accommodation on site: cabins, an RV park with electricity and water hookups, a private group camping area, tent sites and yurts. On top of that there is Polaris SXS rental, guided tours, equipment rental and learn-to-ride instruction; once a month at full moon there is a night ride with the trails staying open until midnight. The track directory mxtrackguide lists three motocross courses plus a permanent enduro course, opening hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday and 8:00am to 6:00pm Friday to Sunday, and fees of 25 dollars per rider, 15 dollars for riders under 17. Practice riding is allowed, racing does not take place there, and instructors are on site. Our own record has this down as clay ground with jumps and tight sections. Clay grips while the moisture is right and works itself into deep ruts under load - and there the front wheel becomes the critical point, because it knifes in and keeps steering further into the rut than you intended. Top of our cause list for that is a fork set too soft that rides so deep in the stroke that it folds into the rut. Add front compression first, before you work on anything else.
