The Autodromo di Franciacorta lies in Castrezzato in the province of Brescia. According to Wikipedia, ground was broken in 2005, the circuit opened in 2006, and since 2008 it has essentially run one layout: 2.519 kilometres with 13 turns. In November 2019 Porsche bought the venue, and in September 2021 it was renamed Porsche Experience Center Franciacorta and reopened after substantial investment. Important for riders: the track is homologated both by the FIA for motor racing and by the FMI for motorcycle competition, although the same source notes the FIA Grade 2 licence expired on 1 September 2024. Series listed include the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (2017-2019), the FIA World Rallycross Championship (2014-2015), Italian Formula 3 and the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia. With 13 turns in 2.519 kilometres, Franciacorta is a compact, technical circuit with no long recovery stretches. You ride short connecting straights and have to keep re-aiming the bike, so turn-in mistakes accumulate across the lap instead of washing out down a straight. If your bike will not hold a tight line and carries you wide through the corners, top of our cause list is this: too little rear ride height makes the steering lazy - raise the rear (or drop the front) to sharpen turn-in.
