Raceway Park (Englishtown)

Raceway Park at 230 Pension Road in Englishtown, New Jersey, is a multi-discipline venue: alongside motocross practice and racing it runs drifting, karting, a road course and swap meets. According to the NJ Motocross directory the track operates from March through the end of November and holds both race events and open practice days in that window. The motocross side is managed by Rich Trevelise, who raced in the 1970s and 1980s and later worked as an announcer. The flagship event is the Kawasaki Race of Champions on the first weekend in October. Entries for racing and practice go through the operator's pre-registration, and the in-house series runs as RPMX. The operator does not publish specific practice times or fees on the landing page and keeps them current by phone and through registration instead. Our record has this as sand with jumps, fast stretches and tight sections. Sand builds deep ruts and swells through the day and the rear end starts working against you: it pogos, it swims and it wants to come straight back up after every hit. Top of our cause list for that is rebound being too fast at the rear - slow it down so the rear stops pogoing and stays in the ground.
