Nabo Race Park

Nabo Race Park, which also trades as Nabo Extreme Park, sits at kilometre 20 of the Carretera a Nogales in the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco, inside the Bosque de La Primavera forest west of Guadalajara. The venue is a fixture on the Mexican racing calendar: according to Revista Moto it hosted round three of the national motocross championship on 3 and 4 March 2018, with more than 300 entered riders from six countries across 14 classes, organised by Motocross.MX with support from Kang Racing and Suzuki Motos Guadalajara. The layout was rebuilt for that round: a changed start area, five additional ramps and banked turns that can be taken on two lines. The Centro zone regional championship also runs here; at one of its rounds the entry ran from the 50cc classes through veteran and womens categories to the professional MX1 and MX2 divisions, rider practice started on Saturday at 11 a.m., racing on Sunday at 10 a.m., and up to 25,000 pesos in prize money was paid out. Regular practice hours and fees for open riding are not publicly documented. Our record lists a hard, firm surface, and the 2018 rebuild tells you a lot about the riding: several ramps in quick succession and banked turns that let you pick your line. On grippy hard ground you arrive at the jumps carrying real speed and land accordingly hard. Top of our cause list for suspension bottoming out on jump landings is a rear high-speed compression set too soft - add a little so the hit stays under control.
