MX Park Karvina sits at the edge of the Ostrava coalfield, and the ground tells you where it comes from: the Czech riders community Motorkari describes a cross-country lap with many technical spots on spoil-heap and loam ground, plus a cross meadow with a loam surface. Mining spoil is a surface of its own - compacted, uneven, with sections that grip completely differently after rain than the natural loam beside them. Important for the trip: anyone wanting to ride must contact the named organisers beforehand and accept the site rules. Turning up and riding is not an option here.
