Moto-Club de Franquevielle runs the site at the Lieu-dit Les Cous Talats in 31210 Franquevielle, in the foothills of the Pyrenees. According to mxcircuit.fr the course is 1600 metres long and 6 to 8 metres wide; the directory describes the ground as natural earth with a gravel content and states explicitly that the track stays rideable in the rain. It is open on the first, second and fifth Sunday of each month from 14:00 to 18:00, and the day rate of 6 euros is at the low end of what French club tracks charge. FFM and UFOLEP licences are accepted, bikes only. There is a riding school on site. Our own record holds the course as technical with off-camber sections, meaning corners that fall away from you instead of supporting you. The front carries far less there than the shape of the corner suggests, and that is exactly where our most common complaint for such sections comes from: the front washing and pushing in flat corners. The strongest cause on our list is a fork that is too firm and riding too high to build any front bite - take a few clicks of compression out so the front finds the ground again.
