The Busca motocross track lies in the Attisano district in the province of Cuneo and, according to the track directory mxcenter.it, is run by the Motoclub Busca. The lap measures 1400 metres, the ground is described as hard, and the circuit is rated category 3 with ASI homologation. Riding is on Wednesday from 13:30 to 18:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 to 18:00, extended to 20:30 during the summer period. The site has its own minicross track and cold showers; there is no bar, no hot showers, no floodlighting and no 220 V outlets. The directory gives a phone number and advises calling before you drive out. Hard ground forgives very little. The surface stays smooth for a long time, the tyre finds only a thin layer to dig into, and braking bumps stand up sharp rather than soft - grip is decided by the size of the contact patch, not by keying into the soil. If the front then feels vague and gives you almost no feedback, top of our cause list is too much air pressure at the front: the harder the tyre, the smaller the patch it stands on over hardpack. Lower the front pressure so more of the tyre carries.
