Track details
Dry loam is the ideal case: grippy, forms lines and forgives mistakes.
After rain loam turns heavy and sticky - knobs pack up and the bike feels noticeably heavier.

The motocross track at 32670 Dyke Road in Mission, British Columbia belongs to the Mission Raceway Park site and, according to Wikipedia, is run independently by the Lower Mainland Motocross Club. The track is 3 km long. Its history goes back a long way: the motocross track was added to the original Mission Raceway Park in 1973, the facility closed in 1978, and a new version reopened on 14 March 1992. The same grounds also hold an NHRA-sanctioned quarter mile dragstrip and a 2 km road course with nine turns; the whole complex is owned by the B.C. Custom Car Association. Vancouver's Best Places gives the park a season from April to September with over 50 races a year. Practice times and fees specific to the motocross track are not documented in these sources. Our record lists a loamy surface with a technical character and jumps - ground that holds deep ruts when it is damp. If the front knifes into such a rut and oversteers, top of our cause list is a fork that is set too soft and rides too deep - add compression.
