MC Westerhausen

The track on Alte Warnstedter Strasse near Westerhausen, on the northern edge of the Harz, is run by MC Westerhausen e. V. im ADAC. Bike Trails Pfannenstiel gives the founding date as 19 June 1963 by 45 motorsport friends, and an approval for machines up to 450 cc. MX-Info states 1750 metres for the main track, training on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 16:00, open to members and guest riders alike, a day fee of 25 euro for the MX track as well as for the enduro track, and a roughly 300 metre children's track that can be used free of charge. MX-Info describes the ground as hard mixed soil with clay passages, with steep turns, climbs, tables and berms; the uphill triple counts as the most striking feature. The club preps and waters the surface itself during training days, so short interruptions can occur. Plenty of jumps on firm ground shift the work from corner exit to faces and landings: the rear takes short, hard hits rather than long floating phases, and the uphill triple punishes any restless bike on the face. If the bike throws the rear up as you leave the face, top of our cause list is rebound that returns too fast at the shock - slow it down so the rear stops shoving on the lip.
