The motocross site at Am Pappelberg near Seeluebbe belongs to MC Uckermark Prenzlau e. V. im ADAC. The town of Prenzlau lists the club with sections for motorcycle touring, motocross/enduro and camping/caravan, with its business address on Neustaedter Damm in Prenzlau. The track itself is in a bad position: Nordkurier reports that the operating permit now sits with MSC Kieskuhlenterror and its roughly 113 members, and that an old contract covering the neighbouring plot allowed motocross use for ten years only. That period expired long ago, the current landowner insists on compliance after a lawyer's letter, and the grounds are no longer accessible to riders. The start straight and the area in front of it were ploughed up and planted. Since then the club drives its youngsters some 50 kilometres to Parmen to train, and is looking for a new site or for sponsors to cover the trips. How the track rides has become secondary: our record holds sandy, hilly ground, but what decides your day here is access, not suspension settings. According to the club no legal dispute is planned, so a quick solution is not in sight. Call the club before every trip and ask whether and where riding is possible at all, instead of driving out on the off chance.
