The motocross track of MC Amtsberg e.V. lies in the Erzgebirgskreis district of Saxony. According to mx-info.de the club was founded in 1972 and has around 200 members; the track is 1300 metres long, runs on hard loam soil and works with tables, berms, corners and assorted jumps, plus a small enduro section off the main loop. Motocross and enduro bikes, sidecars and quads are permitted. Training runs on Thursday and Friday from 16:00 to 19:00 and on Saturday from 13:00 to 18:00, for members and guest riders alike; a day pass costs 5 euros. Full protective gear is mandatory - helmet, goggles, gloves, protectors and a tank mat. The club runs races regularly, among them events at Easter and in autumn, and competes in the ADMV Saxony motocross championship. Hard ground with tables means the jump faces stay clean and sharp and the landings arrive undamped, because the surface absorbs nothing. Open the throttle again too early off the face and the rear end comes up. Top of our cause list is rebound that is too fast at the rear: it extends the shock again right on the face and throws the rear up. A few clicks slower settles the kick.
