The Ai Girasoli motocross track is in Montecchio Maggiore, province of Vicenza. The track directory Tracks by MXCenter names MC Ai Girasoli as the operator and lists the venue as a category 3 circuit of 1250 metres on earth ground. Opening times are split by season: from 1 March to 31 October Wednesday to Sunday afternoons from 14:00 to 18:00, with Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 12:00 in addition, and from November to February Saturday and Sunday afternoons only. From May to September evening sessions on Tuesday and Thursday from 19:00 to 22:30 are added - the venue has floodlighting. There is also a minicross loop, a bar, hot and cold showers and 220 volt sockets. The source names no prices, but advises making contact before travelling because the times can change. Our own record carries loamy ground with jumps: soil that builds grip and forms deep ruts while doing it. That is exactly where it gets tricky, because the front wants to tip into the rut instead of following it. Top of our cause list here is a fork that is too soft, rides too low and knifes in the rut - add front compression so the front stays up and the steering head stays calm.
