Flugplatz Großenhain Supermoto

The supermoto course on the Grossenhain airfield north of Dresden is run by Motorsportclub Grossenhain e.V. im ADAC. Sachsenbike describes the venue as a combination of a hard-surfaced piste and an off-road section, the off-road part newly built in 2015. Speedweek puts the course at just under 1.3 kilometres and calls it the fastest circuit on the German supermoto championship calendar. Grossenhain is a fixture of that championship: on 18 and 19 June 2016 it held a round of the International German Supermoto Championship S1 and the DMSB championship N2, plus the E5, S3, P3, T4 and U40 classes, with around 200 riders from more than ten nations; on 10 and 11 June 2017 the third round of the season followed. Spectators in 2016 paid 10 euro on Saturday, 19 euro on Sunday and 23 euro for the weekend, cash only at the gate. Our own record has Grossenhain as an asphalt course with a fast, technical character. An airfield gives you long open sections in which any unrest in the chassis builds on itself, before the short off-road part and the return to the hard surface. Top of our cause list is: ride-height and sag balance are off (rear too high) - set sag first. Judge everything else after that.
