Chang International Circuit

Chang International Circuit, also listed as Buriram International Circuit, lies in Buriram province in north-eastern Thailand. Designed by Hermann Tilke, it opened on 4 October 2014 according to Wikipedia and was the first Thai venue with FIA Grade 1 and FIM Grade A certification; construction is given as two billion baht. The Grand Prix course measures 4.554 km and has twelve turns. It has hosted the World Superbike Championship from 2015 to 2019, Super GT and the Asian Le Mans Series; the MotoGP Thailand Grand Prix has run here since 2022 and is extended to 2031. Grandstands and berms together take around 100,000 spectators. Public track-day rules, sign-up procedures or fees are not documented in the sources checked. Box Repsol describes the course as one of the least curvy on the MotoGP calendar: three long straights, wide open rapid turns, top speeds above 330 kph and an average of 179.2 kph. From turn one to turn three there is roughly a kilometre with no real let-up, ending in heavy braking into a wide, long curve. Surrounding farmland and irrigation make the air very humid, comparable to Sepang, which costs stamina and loads the tyres. On a layout like this, stability in the fast sweepers decides the lap: if the bike feels vague there, top of our cause list is a ride-height and sag balance that is off - set sag first, before you touch the damping.
