Xtown is located at 16250 Rang St-Dominique in Mirabel, Quebec, about 30 minutes from Montreal off Highway 15. The operator describes five tracks - main, intermediate, beginner, pee-wee and a pit-bike track - which are maintained and watered daily. The centre is open five days a week. FQMHR membership is mandatory; registration is free but has to be renewed every year, and you have to show your membership number on arrival. The site has an asphalted parking lot, grandstands and terraces with free access for spectators, a serviced campground with water and 30 A electricity, free unserviced camping for holders of a day pass, a pay-per-use pressure wash, a motorcycle store with light mechanical service and wireless internet. Day camps, private lessons and introduction courses are offered as well. Our record lists sand as the surface, together with a character shaped by jumps. In deep sand the rear starts to pogo and build up its own rhythm; top of our cause list for that is rebound set too fast for sand - slow it down and the rear settles.
