Sonseca MX Park sits on Paseo de Las Moreras south of Toledo and is one of the few venues where rider feedback is actually solid: 66 reviews, averaging 4.3 out of 5, with ground scoring 4.7 and jumps 4.6. On the winter schedule it runs Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 09:00 to 14:00; the track is groomed and watered regularly. A day costs 20 euros for big bikes and 15 for small ones. There is no infrastructure on site - no bar, no wash area, no timing. The Castilla-La Mancha championship has opened its season here. Five hours of riding time is tight. Arrive and then start wrenching and you lose a third of it - turn up with the bike already set and keep the fine work for between sessions. On ground worn hard the same thing shows up almost every time: the front feels vague and grip is missing up front. First on our list is front tyre pressure. It is too high and the contact patch too small; a couple of tenths less makes the difference.
