San Martin de la Vega, southeast of Madrid: the ranch rides fast and moderately difficult, with wide plateaus, varied jumps and mostly hard ground holding a few sandy stretches. There is a start gate, a kids' track and a second smaller layout mixing supercross and motocross elements; watering and grooming are routine. Riding is on selected Sundays from 09:00 to 14:00, and a day runs around 30 euros. The venue is certified as a safe circuit and works with limited capacity - you have to confirm attendance in advance or you will find the gate shut. Take that as the rule for any venue with mandatory booking: the Friday phone call is part of the session, just like the chain adjuster. What waits for you on hard ground is the classic: little feedback, a front end that feels vague. The first item on our cause list is mundane and works immediately - too much air in the front tyre. Lower the pressure, put more rubber on the ground, and the front finds purchase again.
