Almost nothing is publicly documented about the motocross track at Rackeve on Csepel Island south of Budapest: no operating club, no opening hours, no track length, no entry fee. What our record holds is the character - sand, jump-heavy and technical. We claim nothing beyond that here, because an invented opening time is worse than none at all. Ask around the Hungarian motocross scene about current operation before you drive out. In riding terms sand always means the same thing: you sit more than you would like, and you get on the gas earlier than feels right. Hesitate in sand and you dig in - and if you stop, restarting costs you half a lap. The problem that shows up first: the rear pogos and swims. Right at the top of our cause list is rear rebound. For sand it is usually set too fast, and then the back builds up over the bumps. Slow it down before you touch anything else.
