The motocross track at Gorgier above Lake Neuchatel is run by MX Team Beroche, a club founded on 19 January 2007 by a handful of off-road enthusiasts. The numbers tell you what kind of place this is: 35 active members, five juniors, 23 passive - a small club that funds its training sessions, outings and introductory courses through self-organised events and sponsorship. That shapes the character of such venues: no continuous operation, but a place where beginners genuinely get taken in hand. Dates are published in the club's annual programme - check when training runs before you set off.
