Lezennes sits right on the edge of Lille, at the junction of the D146 and N227, and the track there is a natural dirt layout. The operating model is unusual: no licence required, but a 120 euro annual fee, and without a licence your own insurance is mandatory. It is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 14:00 to 17:00 - until 19:00 from May to August - and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 17:00. It closes during the French school holidays, which is the most important sentence on this page if you are planning a trip. Tight and technical, this close to a city: do not expect long full-throttle straights, expect corner work. If you train here, take on entries and exits - the lap is essentially made of nothing else. Loamy ground turns that into deep ruts, and with them the most common complaint: the front knifes and oversteers. Top of our cause list is the fork - set too soft, it dives too deep and folds away in the rut. A few more clicks of compression and the front stays where you put it.
