Loket (Loketske Serpentiny)

The track lies about two kilometres outside Loket near Karlovy Vary and is officially called Loketske Serpentiny; it is run by AMK Loket under Jaroslav Piela, which the MXGP track database lists as Autoklub Loket v ACR. Access runs off the R6 expressway at exit 131. The venue is a fixture on the motocross world championship calendar: the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic plus the European championship rounds EMX65, EMX85 and EMX2T are scheduled for 25 and 26 July 2026, with the programme starting at 07:00 on race days. For 2026 the organiser lists admission at 1,400 crowns on Saturday, 1,800 crowns on Sunday and 2,000 crowns for the whole weekend; children under 120 centimetres get in free on both days, under 150 centimetres they pay 750 crowns. On site there is guarded parking and a campsite with drinking water, utility water, showers and toilets. Length and ground are well documented and match our own record: the MXGP database gives 1,586 metres and hard pack. On hard ground front grip does not come from the suspension but from the contact patch, and the name Serpentiny already points to a winding layout that punishes a front wheel which only rides on top. Top of our cause list is: too much front pressure on hardpack - lower it for a bigger contact patch. That is a starting point, not a safety promise. The prices above are spectator tickets for the race weekend; whether and when you may practise there yourself is not publicly documented, so ask the club first.
