La Moia di Plello

The La Moia track lies near Plello above Borgosesia in the Valsesia. The directory mxcenter.it lists it under Moto Club Citta di Borgosesia at 1300 metres, hard-packed ground, category 3, FMI homologation and with a minicross area; there is no bar, no showers, no power outlets and no floodlighting, and the phone contact is marked as being in the middle of a change of management. More important, though, is what the Corriere Valsesiano reported on 11 April 2024: riding activity ceased years ago, and the paper refers to the site as the former motocross track. In April 2023 the forestry authority found dumped special waste on the land - around 150 tyres, plastic pipes, two squat toilets and concrete structures - after which the 27 landowners were ordered in January 2024 to clear it. For you that means one thing above all: the times given in the directory - Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 to 12:30 and from 3 pm to 6 pm - describe an operation the newspaper does not confirm for the present day. A tight, technical course on hard ground would be interesting to ride, but while the status is unclear the first step is not setup work, it is a phone call: confirm with the moto club that the track is running before you plan the drive into the Valsesia.
