GetzenRodeo (Getzenwald)

The GetzenRodeo is not a practice track but a hard enduro race in the Getzenwald near 09430 Griessbach in the Erzgebirge, run under the name 24MX GetzenRodeo. According to the organiser's regulations the competition consists of two races: the GetzenRace, a two-hour main race with a maximum of 50 entrants, and the GetzenChamp, a final over five laps on a modified course for which only the best twelve riders from the GetzenRace qualify. There is no class division and no displacement limit; enduro and motocross machines in technically sound condition are allowed, trial bikes and trial tyres are not. Helmet, boots, gloves and suitable clothing are mandatory, and in marked no-help zones you have to get through on your own. The organiser speaks of around 10,000 spectators and lists the race as a round of the FIM Hard Enduro World Championship; Manuel Lettenbichler won there in 2025. Our own record has the terrain as loamy, tight and technical with off-camber sections - hard enduro here means walking, pushing and getting back on, not lap times. The organiser explicitly demands matching fitness and riding skill, and the 50 places are a hard limit: plan your entry and your preparation weeks ahead, not in the week before.
