The Crotta d'Adda motocross track lies in the province of Cremona and, according to the Mxcenter track directory, is run by Motoclub Gamma. It is listed as a category 3 circuit homologated by FMI and UISP, 1,700 metres long, on sand. Opening is daily from 10 am to 5 pm in winter and daily from 10 am to 6 pm in summer; July and August are marked as closed, with the note that the place is occasionally open anyway and that calling ahead is the safe move. On site there is a bar, cold and hot showers and 220-volt outlets; there is a minicross loop but no floodlighting. The directory describes the approach via Cremona, then towards Maleo and on to Crotta d'Adda. Fees are not publicly documented. Sand works against you as soon as the pace rises: it builds into waves and deep ruts, the rear goes light and starts to hop instead of staying in the ground - our record also lists a jump-heavy character, which loads the rear harder still on landings. If the rear pogos and swims in the deep sand, top of our cause list is rebound that is too fast: slow it down a few clicks so the rear settles after each hit instead of bouncing.
