1210 metres of imported soil at Le Gros Rocher near Severac in Loire-Atlantique, laid out on municipal land along the D773 between the wind turbine and the Rocher a la Vache. It is run by Amicale Moto-Club Severac, founded on 14 September 1984 by Yves Gergaud. Riding happens on selected Sundays, 10:00 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 17:30, for a 10 euro day fee, and on motorcycles only: quads and sidecars are not admitted. Nothing runs without an FFM or UFOLEP licence, and riders over twelve also need a CASM or a driving licence. The first Sunday in May brings the UFOLEP 44 championship round, and the club runs its own riding school for children aged six to twelve. Bring water and tools: there is no refreshment stand, no toilets and no wash area. And treat the day as a whole - if you can only ride a handful of Sundays, the lunch break is for wrenching, not for waiting. Imported loam cuts deep ruts quickly, which brings the classic problem: the front knifes in and oversteers. First on our cause list is a fork that is too soft and rides too low - add compression.
