Bar 2 Bar MX is a private facility in Kansas that opens for events and, from time to time, for prepped public practice; the contact is Bruce Richardson, reachable through the phone number and email address given on the operator's page. Hours depend on the event. For a championship weekend in July the operator states the prices in detail: Friday gates from 5pm to 10pm at $20 per person, Saturday practice from 9am to 2pm for $40 with gates open at 7am and closing at 10pm, Sunday gates from 6am at $15 per person and a race entry of $45 per class. An AMA membership is required for sanctioned events. Every attendee signs the 2026 facility waiver; for minors both parents must sign, or sole custody has to be documented. Events held there include the AMA Kansas State Motocross Championship, an AMA championship of the Vet MX Foundation and Monster Energy National Championship qualifiers; for the youngest riders the operator runs a STACYC series on its own mini track. A track length is not publicly documented. Our record lists the surface as loam plus the traits jumps, technical and fast. A prepped loam course gives a lot of grip back on corner exit - and that is exactly where a rear that is too soft gives itself away, because the bike squats under power and runs wide. Top of our cause list is this: the rear squats and the bike runs wide on corner exit because the low-speed compression is too soft - add a little. Treat that as a starting point, not a finished setup.
