MC Mecklenburg-Strelitz (Neustrelitz)

MC Mecklenburg-Strelitz has existed since 1990 and counts around 60 members - yet its track Am Kamp in Neustrelitz is one of the longer ones in the north-east at 1,800 metres. It is described as a mix of steep turns, jumps and technically demanding sections; an irrigation system keeps the dust down and there are toilets on site. Training runs Tuesdays from 1 to 6 pm and Saturdays from 9 am to 6 pm. Guests pay 20 euros, children 5; on the public dates the price is staggered by capacity - 50 and 65 cc five euros, 85 cc fifteen, 125 cc and up twenty. One planning note: a nine-hour Saturday is tempting, but the last two hours put you on a completely different track from the first two. Portion the day out instead of riding it straight through. The problem that finds you in the tight technical sections: the engine stalls. Top of our cause list is a dragging clutch or a flywheel that is too light - a flywheel weight, or a properly set-up clutch, takes the low-rpm stalling out.
