Gelnica Enduro

Gelnica in eastern Slovakia is not just a practice ground, it is an enduro area with world championship history. The Slovak motorcycle federation reports that the club GL moto team Gelnica staged a round of the Enduro World Championship here in 2023: a figure-of-eight loop, three scoring laps and four tests between 5.3 and 9.3 kilometres, adding up to roughly 69 kilometres. In 2024 the series came to Gelnica for the third time, from 12 to 14 July as the fifth round of the season and with 106 entered riders; the super test ran inside the town football stadium on a grass course fitted with artificial bridges, jumps and rocks.
