Heath End Road, Abbey Barn Lane, High Wycombe: Flackwell Heath Moto Park is a pure practice facility and makes no secret of it - big jumps, technical sections, and riders from beginner to expert on the same ground. Riding is Saturday 10:00 to 16:00 and Sunday 11:00 to 16:00, closed on weekdays; the whole track can be hired privately. First aiders and medical staff are on site, as is a food wagon. When big jumps and technical sections share one track, the order of your first laps decides the whole day. Learn the technical parts slowly first, then the run-ups to the jumps - a take-off face forgives a wrong line far less than a tight corner does. And that is exactly where the problem most riders meet here sits: the bike kicks and bucks off the face. Top of our cause list is rear rebound returning too fast and launching the rear - fewer clicks out and the bike stays flat.
