E-Motocross Park Schmittenhöhe

The E-Motocross Park sits on top of the Schmittenhoehe and is run by Schmittenhoehebahn AG; you reach it with the areitXpress or the cityXpress cable car. According to the operator the season opens on 23 May 2026, daily from 9:30 to 16:00, and the park stays closed in bad weather. The site is split into three areas: the actual motocross course for adults aged 18 and over, a beginner and trial park for teenagers aged 12 to 17 weighing under 60 kilograms, and a practice course called Schmidolins Feuerstuhl for children aged 6 to 12. You ride one of four KTM Freeride E-Motocross machines and the full protective kit is included in the price: 54 euros for 45 minutes for adults, 26 euros for 20 minutes for teenagers, 23 euros for 20 minutes for children. Adults need a minimum height of 1.65 metres, and sturdy footwear is mandatory for everyone. This is not a practice ground for your own bike but a guided session on a rental machine at around 1405 metres of altitude, which is what we have on record together with a mixed surface. The operator asks adults to book by phone in advance while the younger groups do not need to, so make that call part of your travel planning rather than an afterthought - otherwise you arrive at the top and the slot is already taken.
