Body position: hanging off and getting your knee down
Superbike / Track · intermediate · body-position
Hanging off isn't about posing - it keeps the bike more upright for a given corner speed, which leaves you more grip in reserve. Move into position before the corner, not in it: shift one cheek off the seat, lock your outside knee and foot against the tank and peg, and open your inside leg. Lead with your head and shoulders down and to the inside, toward the mirror, while staying loose on the bars - your weight goes through the pegs, not your hands. Let your knee find the ground as a lean-angle gauge, not as a target; chasing it with a twisted, tense body just upsets the bike. A smooth, early position change always beats a last-second lunge.
A starting point to verify on the bike - not a safety guarantee. Change one thing at a time and check on track.
