Motocross goggles for mud and sand: roll-offs and tear-offs

In mud and sand, your goggles decide whether you see the race or ride blind. Two vision systems help keep your field of view clean.

**Tear-offs** are thin clear films that stack on the lens. When one gets dirty, you rip it off. They are cheap and fast, but create waste and need restocking.

**Roll-offs** pull a continuous film from a roll across the lens - a tug on the cord advances fresh film. They last a whole race and are the better choice in persistent mud.

Also important is a **wide, soft frame foam** that seals well against the helmet, plus an **anti-fog lens** (often a dual-pane lens). In sand a tinted or mirrored lens additionally cuts glare. Make sure the goggles are compatible with your helmet - the eyeport must match the goggle shape.
