The Crossodromo Prunetta lies in the Apennines at Prunetta in the province of Pistoia, and the mxcenter.it directory lists it under the Motoclub Valdibure Pistoiese. It is recorded at 1500 metres on hard dirt, in the third category, with FMI homologation. In place of opening hours the entry carries a note to contact the operator directly - unlike many neighbouring tracks, no fixed practice days are documented here. Listed facilities are a bar, a cold shower and 220-volt sockets; there is no hot shower, no floodlighting and no minicross area. Our own record additionally holds a tight, technical character. Hard ground at altitude dries out quickly and turns into a slick surface where the line stays narrow and grip is a matter of millimetres. In practice, though, the planning effort weighs more: a track with no published hours can be closed for a race, hired out or simply shut on the day you want it, and the drive into the mountains only pays off if somebody is there. Call the Motoclub and have the day confirmed before you load the bike.
