Oulton Park sits at Little Budworth near Tarporley in Cheshire and is run by MotorSport Vision, which has owned the circuit since January 2004. It opened on 8 August 1953 on the grounds of the former Oulton Estate. The operator lists three layouts: the International Circuit at 2.676 miles, the Island Circuit at 2.247 miles and the Fosters Circuit at 1.650 miles. Well-known corners include Cascades, Island Bend, Druids, Knickerbrook and Lodge Corner, which overlooks the historic Oulton Park Lodge. The British Superbike Championship has raced here since 1991. Alongside that, MSV Trackdays runs dedicated motorcycle dates on which you can take your own bike out. Wikipedia describes the circuit through rapidly changing gradients, blind crests and several tight corners - a combination that makes the bike go light exactly where you are quickest, and costs the front end feedback at speed. Top of our cause list for weave and instability at high speed is a ride-height and sag balance that is off, usually a rear sitting too high: set sag first, before you touch damping.
