The Moto Club Cabannais circuit opens on the first and third Saturday of the month, 10 am to 6 pm - and that is all. If you are after a spontaneous training day in Provence, this one goes in the calendar; two dates a month forgive nothing. A day costs 10 euros, the annual card 90, and you need a valid FFM licence to get in. The president is Christian Ponte. Alongside the main circuit there is an initiation track for beginners and children; the ground is natural earth near the Durance. A technical loam circuit rewards precision, not speed. With two dates a month it is doubly worth arriving with a plan: one thing per day, not three. Three projects on one Saturday means that in a fortnight you start over. The problem that turns up most on technical tracks: the engine stalls in tight sections. Top of our list is a dragging clutch or a flywheel that is too light - a flywheel weight or a properly set-up clutch takes the edge off it.
