The Montagnana motocross track sits in the Palu district in the province of Padua, on state road 10 towards Legnago and about two kilometres from the historic centre. According to the track directory mxcenter.it it is run by the Motoclub Del Montagnanese. The lap measures 1470 metres, the circuit is rated category 3 and carries FMI, UISP and CSEN homologation. Opening times change with the season: from 1 May to 15 September on Tuesday and Friday from 19:00 to 23:00 plus Saturday from 12:00 to 17:00, and from 15 September to 1 May on Wednesday and Saturday from 12:00 to 17:30 and Sunday from 9:00 to 17:00. The site has a bar, cold and hot showers, 220 V outlets, floodlighting and its own minicross track. The directory explicitly advises calling before you drive out, because times can change at short notice. Our record lists jumps and technical sections, and those late summer slots mean you read take-off faces and landings under artificial light rather than daylight - the contours drop away earlier than you need them. If the rear kicks you up over the face, top of our cause list is rebound running too fast at the back: the shock returns while the wheel is still on the ramp and launches the bike. Slow the rebound down, a few clicks less out, before you work up to the bigger jumps.
