The Mick Extance Experience at Llangynog near Oswestry is not an open practice track but a guided off-road operation. By its own account it is run by Mick Extance, known as a Dakar and enduro rider, and his team. Riding takes place in the Berwyn Mountains in the Tanat Valley across 1,500 acres of Welsh forest; the operator describes the trail network as a mix of fast wide double track and single track at varying difficulty levels. Bookable formats include the Ultimate Off-Road Day, one-to-one training, a Tuareg Experience Day on the Tuareg 660, electric enduro days on the Stark Varg, and dedicated Own Bike Days. The operation supplies the bike for most formats; your own machine only gets on site on the days set aside for it. Booking is online only, and the operator explicitly caters for people who have never sat on a bike. No prices are given on the front page. Our records list a hardpack surface with the traits technical and tight - forest trails that alternate between fast sections and narrow ones ask for more head than throttle. Because access here is tied to a booked format rather than to an open practice slot, the decisive step is organisational: check before booking whether your date is an Own Bike Day - on every other date you ride a hire bike and your own setup does not come into play.
