What the directories file as Eddieville MX Park is really one corner of a much bigger site: near Centerville in Klickitat County, Washington, the Over the Bars Gang runs two venues - Eddieville and Starvation Ridge - with some 39 miles of course between them. The Eddieville property alone carries four disciplines side by side: a 6.5-mile GP track, a half-mile flat track, a kids track and the motocross course, quoted at 1.5 miles. Play days run March through November and no membership is required. Play days cost around 25 dollars a rider, race entry is 70 dollars, the gate 15 dollars a head, camping 20 dollars per vehicle. Do not plan to tick this place off in one weekend. Come off the long GP loop, drop straight onto the MX course, and your first laps run on the wrong rhythm - you notice it at the second jump face. That is where the classic sits: the rear kicks instead of leaving the lip cleanly. Top of our cause list is rear rebound - it returns too fast and launches the back of the bike. Slow it down, fewer clicks out.
