The Don Paolo is not a club field but a business: some 157,000 square metres owned by Fabrizio Di Cosola, holding the 1630-metre motocross track, a kart circuit and a shop for new and used bikes along with clothing and spares, all on the same site. Add a motocross school for every level and pit bikes to hire, for children and adults alike. The sporting level is high: rounds of the interregional FMI championship for Puglia and Basilicata and of the Italian junior championship have run here. 1630 metres is a lot, and riding it for the first time is no moment to start chasing lap times. Do two or three laps deliberately below your pace and note where you lose the overview - that is the place that will cost you later, not the jumps. Over that much earth the problem we have documented most often for this surface duly forms: the front knifes and oversteers in the ruts. Top of our cause list is the fork - too soft, riding too low, folding away; wind on the compression.
