Cirras - Santa Giusta

The Cirras motocross track lies in the Cirras district of Santa Giusta in the province of Oristano and is run by the Motoclub Cirras. The directory mxcenter.it lists it at 1,470 metres, on a mix of earth and sand, with FMI homologation in category 5. The same entry gives opening on Saturdays and Sundays, with further sessions only by arrangement, and it advises calling before you travel because the published data can change without notice. A minicross area is available. There is almost no infrastructure: no bar, no hot or cold showers, no 220 volt outlets and no floodlighting. Access runs off the SS 131 at kilometre 84 and then about one kilometre of side road. No fees are publicly documented. Earth with a sand content means the ground gives way under load, the lines dig themselves in over the course of a day and the rear works far harder than it would on firm dirt. If it starts pogoing and stops holding a clean line, top of our cause list is rebound - for sand it is usually set too fast. Wind clicks back in so the rear stops building up its own bounce.
