Billund Moto-Cross Klub sits at Elkjaerhoejevej 3A in 7190 Billund and is organised within the Danish DMCU. According to the club site it is open Saturday from 10:00 to 15:00 and Wednesday from 17:00 to 20:00. The club runs a large and a small track and grades its memberships accordingly: training memberships for maxi, for juniors on the large track and for the small track, full memberships for the large or the small track, plus a passive membership. Non-members may train for a fee, 100 kroner for the large track and 50 kroner for the small one. Newcomers who want to try the sport first can use the club's own rental gear after arranging it with the chairman. The calendar carries Liga Billund rounds with pre-registration split by track size. The club also asks its members to ride considerately on the way to and from the motocross track. Our own record has sand at roughly 59 metres of altitude; the club states no track length. In sand the rear works constantly against soft, yielding ground, and the typical problem is a rear wheel that pogos and swims through the deep sections. Top of our cause list is rebound that is too fast at the rear - slow it down, that is fewer clicks out, so the rear stops pogoing. That is a starting point, not a finished setup.
